Social Networks, Truth and Perception

It’s time to rethink the way I work with social media (not photos though!!) and so I am forcing myself to take a break, even though I will find it difficult.
Those that know me become tired of me reciting a version of ‘perception is often seen as more important than reality’ – in fact I recently posted about it. Today a trusted friend gave me a very polite rebuke about emotionally processing using SM – I was shocked but accepted the perception and as we discussed, he told me he was relieved that his perception was inaccurate.
On reading through all my outputs, I know my purpose was done with completely the right heart and attitude but the uncomfortable truth struck me – whatever the reality, at least one person perceived something radically different.
With that in mind, I am taking a break and rethinking my social outputs. Whether it lasts a day, weeks or whatever, I have no idea. What I do know is that truth is more important to me than perception, but the perception of others must be taken seriously.
I look forward to connecting again
– you never know, future outputs may be more useful 😉
